Nature is here at home!
The idea to bring exotic species together at Branféré originated in India, in the 1930s. Inspired by a Maharajah who surrounded himself with free-roaming animals, Paul and Hélène Jourde, founders of the park, decided to create an earthly paradise, faithful to the Buddhist ideal of harmony between man and nature. Today, the park keeps this founding concept going and welcomes 1,500 animals on 45 hectares of nature.
