Reconnection and transmission for biodiversity conservation
Here is a brief presentation of the symposium. We invite you to take part in two exceptional days dedicated to biodiversity!
For thousands of years, humanity has been linked to all living things.
Today, faced with the rapid erosion of biodiversity, it’s time to rethink our relationship with nature: to understand, preserve and pass on this wealth to future generations.
The Research 4 Nature symposium is an opportunity to bring together experts and researchers in educational sciences, environmental psychology, conservation biology, ethology, and many other disciplines to:
- Explore true solution for species conservation;
- Cross scientific and societal approaches;
- Imagine collaborative projects thanks to citizen science.
Our conference is translated. Bring your earphones to enjoy the simultaneous translation on your phone.

What do the citizen science workshops involve?
- Participatory, as these projects are intended to be led by these two types of stakeholder with the aim of co-constructing knowledge
- Interdisciplinary, as the ambition of the symposium is to explore the notion of biodiversity conservation at the crossroads of several disciplines such as conservation biology, ethology, educational sciences, sociology and environmental psychology.
The association Sciences Citoyennes, with over twenty years’ experience in participatory research, has been commissioned to organise and run these workshops as follows:
- Friday 20 June, late afternoon: two group work sessions to translate questions posed to the scientific world into research projects, identify the disciplines involved, the people or organisations that could be mobilised, etc.
- Saturday 21 June, morning: a group work session to go into more detail on some of the projects discussed the previous day with the aim of refine the objectives and then list the activities and deliverables that will help to achieve the objectives previously determined.
